Many police station enquiry offices closed before I took office. I pledged upon election in May 2016 that I would review police station front desk closures. I have kept my promise and the following police stations have now been reopened Mon-Sat 10am-3pm:
- Newquay (reopened 2020)
- Exeter Middlemoor (new police station replaced Heavitree 2020)
- Truro (reopened 2023)
- Penzance (reopened 2023)
- Newton Abbot (reopened 2023)
- Falmouth (reopened 2023)
- Tiverton (reopened 2023)
- Devonport (reopened 2023)
- Bude (reopened 2023)
- Ilfracombe (reopened Feb 2024)
- Okehampton (reopened Feb 2024)
- Honiton (reopened Feb 2024)
- Kingsbridge (reopened Feb 2024)
If re-elected on the 2nd May I will reopen:
- Exeter City Centre (reopening 2024/5)
- Tavistock (reopening 2024/5)
- Liskeard (reopening 2024/5)
- Ivybridge (reopening 2024/5)
- Exmouth (new station awaiting planning permission 2024/5)
This is the biggest investment in over a decade in policing to improve access to local policing. The biggest investment any Police and Crime Commissioner has achieved in the country.
